Small Rhinoceros With Amigurumi Pattern
Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.
Dimension
The Amugurumi small rhino will be approximately 11.5 cm (4 1/2″) long and 5.5 cm (2 1/5”) tall. You can make this rhino pattern with DK weight cotton and 2.50 mm crochet hook.
What You Will Need
- Thread. DK weight 100% cotton yarn [105m / 50g (115yds / 50g) / 8 ply / 11 wpi / 3: light] You will need about 20g of light gray and 5g of dark gray yarn.
- 2.25 – 2.75 mm crochet hook or a crochet according to yarn.
- For stuffing, polyester fiber filling, wool, wadding etc.
- 6 mm (1/4″) safety eyes or buttons, beads, felt, etc.
- Thread needle, scissors, sewing pen.
Abbreviations
- mr, sc n = single crochet stitch into adjustable loop.
- ch = chain stitch.
- sl st = slip stitch.
- sc = single crochet stitch (double crochet stitch in UK and Australia).
- sc n = crochet n single crochet stitches, one in each stitch.
- inc = increase – crochet two single crochet stitches in the same stitch.
- dec = decrease – crochet two stitches together using the invisible decrease method.
- (sc 4, inc) xn = repeat the pattern between the brackets n times.
- [36] = number of stitches in one round after finishing round.
Notes
- Work in a continuous spiral, do not combine rounds or turn your work unless otherwise indicated on the model .
- Use a stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark the end or start of a round. Move the pointer up after completing each round.
- Unless otherwise specified in the pattern, all stitches are worked into both loops.
Head
With light gray yarn:
1. Round: mr, sc 6 = [6]
2. Round: raise x 6 = [12]
3. Round: (sc, inc) x 6 = [18]
4. Round: (sc 3, inc) x 4, sc 2 = [22]
5-9. Rounds: sc = [22]
10. Round : (sc 3, dec) x 4, sc 2 = [18]
11. round: (sc 5, dec) x 2, sc 4 = [16]
12-14 Rounds: sc = [16] in each stitch
Stuff the little rhino ‘s nose tightly. Place the safety toy eyes from the round end to the other side, between rows 12 and 13, leaving 5 stitches (count 4 holes) between them.

15. Round: (sc 2, dec) x 4 = [12]
16. Round: dec x 6 = [6]
Finish stuffing the head. Cut and fasten the thread, leaving a long tail. Take any remaining stitches and close the opening.

Ears
With light gray yarn:
- Round: mr, sc 5 = [5]
- Round: sc in each stitch = [5]
- Round: sc, dec, leave the rest of the stitches unworked = [4]
Move on to the next stitch. Cut and secure the thread, leaving a long tail of thread for sewing. Do not block the ears. Then flatten the ears of the amigurumi little rhino and sew them on the head in the 15th round.

Body
1. Round: mr, sc 6 = [6]
2. Round: raise x 6 = [12]
3. Round: (sc, inc) x 6 = [18]
4. Round: (sc 3, inc) x 4, sc 2 = [22]
5-12 Rounds: sc = [22] in each stitch
13. Round: (sc 3, dec) x 4, sc 2 = [18]
Start stuffing the little rhino ‘s body at this step.
14. Round: (sc, dec) x 6 = [12]
15. Round: dec x 6 = [6]
Finish filling the body of the amigurumi model . Cut and fasten the thread, leaving a long tail. Take any remaining stitches and close the opening. Sew the head to the body with small stitches under the head.

Legs (4 Pieces)
With dark gray yarn:
- Round: mr, sc 6 = [6]
- Round: (sc, inc) x 3 = [9]
With light gray:
3-4 rounds: sc in each stitch = [9]
Cut the thread and pin it, leaving a thread tail for sewing. Stuff the legs of the amigurumi little rhino tightly and sew them to the body.

Tail
Start with a slip knot about 10 cm (4 inches) from the thread end. Chain 5, cut yarn leaving a 5 cm (2”) tail and tighten. Cut another 10 cm (4”) of thread and pass it through the last chain. Tie a knot in the yarn tails and push close to the tail. Cut off excess thread.

Sew the tail of the little rhino you made with Amigurumi to the body.

Big Horn
With dark gray yarn:
- Round: mr, sc 4 = [4]
- Round: sc in each stitch = [4]
- Round: sc, inc x 2, sc = [6]
- Round: sc 2, inc x 2, sc 2 = [8]
- Round: sc 2, inc, sc, inc, sc 3 = [10]
- Round: sc in each stitch = [10]
- Round: sc 5, increase, sc 4 = [11]
- Round: sc 2, leave the rest of the stitches unworked = [11]
Cut the thread and pin it, leaving a thread tail for sewing. Stuff the little rhino ‘s horn tightly.
Little Horn
With dark gray yarn:
- Round: mr, sc 4 = [4]
- Round: sc in each stitch = [4]
- Round: (sc, inc) x 2 = [6]
- Round: (inc, sc 2) x 2 = [8]
Cut the thread and pin it, leaving a thread tail for sewing. Firmly stuff the horn of the Amigurumi rhino model .
Sew the larger horn to the head, just above the 4th round, and the smaller horn one row above it.
