The Elves Kvist and Maise Free Pattern

Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

Materials:
Crochet hook 3.5 mm
Rainbow Cotton 8/8
2 pairs of doll glasses 67 mm
Twist yarn from Go Handmade
2 pairs of safety eyes 10 mm
8 wood beads 20 mm
Fiber fill
Poly pellets
Sewing thread or embroidery thread
Measurements: Approx. 27 cm tall from the tip of the hat to the bottom.
Yarn usage: – Boy/Girl
Red approx. 55g/60g
Gray approx. 20g/20g
Nude approx. 25g/25g
Dark gray approx. 7g
Light brown twist yarn approx. 10g

Abbreviations
Mr: Magic ring
Ch: Chain
S: Stitch
Sc: Single crochet
Dc: Double crochet

Main pattern – used for both Kvist and Maise
Legs and arms:
Work a foundation chain in red consisting of 50 ch. This is going to be legs.
Work a foundation chain in gray consisting of 50 ch. This is going to be the arms.
We’ll get back to these parts when they are attached to the body later on.
Body: In red

  1. Work a mr and crochet 6 sc into the ring (6)
  2. Work 2 sc in each s around. (12)
  3. Work “1 sc in the first s, 2 sc in the next s.” Repeat ”to” around. (18)
  4. Work “1 sc in the next 2 sts, 2 sc in the next s.” Repeat ”to” around. (24)

    Sew the hole shut.
Now, place the legs. Pull one end of the foundation chain out through round 7 and pull the other end out with an interspace of 10-11 sts. Place the beads on the chain and tie a knot in each end.
Now, pull the foundation chain (the arms) out through one side 2 rounds below the head, and out
again on the other side. Place the beads on the chain and tie a knot.

Christmas hat: In red

  1. Work a mr and work 6 sc into the ring. (6)

    Leave a long tail for sewing the Christmas hat on to the head.
Pattern – Boy:
Follow the main pattern above for the arms/legs and body/head, and continue like this:

Trousers waistband: In red
This round is worked in the s from round 16. Insert the yarn in one of the sts. Work ss around. Cut the yarn and weave in the end.
Scarf: In dark gray
Ch 65. Work 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. Work sc to the end of the row. (64)
Ch 1 and turn. Work sc in the blo to the end of the row. (64)
Cut the yarn and weave in the end.
Attach the glasses, place the hat on the head and sew around its edge to make it stay in place.
Embroider the mouth and add some “rouge” to the cheeks if you like.

Pattern – Girl:
Follow the main pattern above for the arms/legs and body/head, and continue like this:
Skirt: In red

  1. Turn the elf upside down. Insert the yarn in the sts of round 16. This round is worked in the s from
    round 16. Work sc around. End with a ss.
2. Ch 2 and work 1 dc in the same s, work 2 dc around. End with a ss
3. Ch 2 and work dc around. End with a ss.
4. Ch 1, work “1 sc in the next 2 sts, 2 sc tog.” Repeat ”to” around. End with a ss.
Cut the yarn and weave in the end.

Hair: In light brown twist yarn
Cut 30 pieces of light brown twist yarn of approx. 40 cm. Place it on top of the head. Sew a few stitches
in the middle across the hair.
