Owl Amigurumi Free Crochet Pattern

Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

Information Before Starting:
You can either make an Owl with bulky yarn (5 weight) or regular yarn (4 weight). The bulky Owl and the regular yarn owl are made the same with exception of the eyes. I didn’t use bulky yarn for the bulky owl’s “contrasting” colors.
In this pattern, “Main Color” is used to describe the main color of the Owl. “Contrasting Color” is used to describe the belly, feet, and beak color.
You can also use this pattern to make a Penguin! All you need to do is not make the ears and sew the beak on vertically, not horizontally.

Supplies:
4mm Hook, 8mm Safety Eyes, Tapestry Needle, Stuffing, Scissors
Yarn Used: Cloud & Star Blue in Red Heart “Hygge Charm”, White in Big Twist Value

Stitches Used:
Magic Ring, Ch, Sc, Inc, Dec, Dc, FLO (Front Loop Only), BLO (Back Loop Only).

Round 21: *Dec, Sc 6* all around (42)
Round 22: In BLO (Back Loop Only), *Dec, Sc 5* all around. We do this in the BLO so the bottom of the head doesn’t protrude out. (36)

Round 23: In BLO, *Dec, Sc 4* all around (30)
At this point, I make the Eyes and Beak. Once you finish them, sew them on and continue with the Head. Refer to Eyes & Beak portion of the pattern now, then continue Head.

Round 41: *Dec, Sc 6* all around. Stuff now. (42)

Note: At this point, we work in the Back Loop Only. We do this to have our work decrease more inward rather than outward. Be sure to not overstuff the bottom of this piece, as you want the bottom piece to be FLAT and not protruded so your Owl can sit! Make sure your work looks like the photos.

Round 42: In BLO (Back Loop Only), *Dec, Sc 5* all around (36)
Round 43: In BLO, *Dec, Sc 4* all around (30)
Round 44: In BLO, *Dec, Sc 3* all around (24)
