Cut off yarn, leaving a long tail. Use this length
of yarn to sew the hat seams together.

POMPOM
Wrap yellow yarn around your four fingers
around 80 times. The more you wrap, the
better your pompom will turn out. Carefully
slide the yarn off your fingers and tie a piece
of yarn around the center in a knot. Leave the
ends of this string long; you will use them later
to secure this pompom to the teddy’s hat.
With a pair of scissors, cut through the loops on
both sides of the pompom. Now begins the fun
part. Take your scissors and trim the pompom
into a round shape using the scissors. Once you
are satisfied with the shape of your pompom,
thread the long yarn ends of the pompom
onto a darning needle and secure your fluffy
pompom to the hat.

ATTACH EARS TO HEAD & HEAD TO BODY
Slide the hat on the teddy’s head and
using pearl headed pins, tack ears just
on the spots where the hat has slits
for ears. Carefully remove hat without
disturbing the ears. With a darning
needle, secure ears to head. Now sew
head to body and put the hat back on.

HOW TO MAKE A BAUBLE STITCH
