Pug Free Crochet Pattern

Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner

YARN: – Medium Weight Cotton Yarn (Lace 4) in Yellow and Bordeaux

– Aunt Lydia Classic Cotton Thread (Lace 10) in Black, Brown and White

OTHER MATERIALS: Polyester Fiber Filling; Yarn Needle

HOOK SIZES: E/3.25 mm, 2.75 mm

STITCHES USED and ABBREVIATIONS: magic ring (mr), chain (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), back loop only (BLO), decrease (dec), increase (inc), fasten off (F/O).

INSTRUCTIONS: work in rounds (join with a sl st and ch1 at the end of each round) otherwise instructed.

BODY (yellow yarn; 3.25 mm hook)

1) 7 sc in a mr (7)

2) sc inc around (14)

3) *1 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (21)

4) *2 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (28)

5) *3 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (35)

6) *4 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (42)

7-24) sc even (42)

25) 9 sc, 2 hdc inc, 18 sc, 2 hdc inc, 11 sc (46)

26) 9 sc, 4 hdc inc, 18 sc, 4 hdc inc, 11 sc (54)

27) sc even (54)

28) 9 sc, 4 hdc dec, 18 sc, 4 hdc dec, 11 sc (46)

29) 46 sc in BLO (46); start stuffing the body

30) *5 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** 6 times, 4 sc (40)

31) *3 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (32)

32) *2 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (24)

33) *1 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (16); finish stuffing the body firmly

EARS (black cotton thread; 2.75 mm hook; make two)

1) 6 sc in a mr (6)

2) *2 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (8)

3) *1 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (12)

4) *5 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (14)

5-6) sc even (14)

7) *5 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (12)

8) flatten the ear and crochet through both layers now, 6 sc (6)

9) 1 sc dec, 2 sc, 1 sc dec (4); F/O and leave a long tail of yarn to sew the ear between rounds #5-6 of the body.

Embroider the NOSE with black cotton thread between rounds 10-12 of the body.

EYES (black and white cotton thread ; 2.75 mm hook; make two)

1) starting off with black thread, 6 sc in a mr (6)

2) *1 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (9)

3) switch to white thread, *2 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (12); F/O and leave a long tail of yarn to sew the eyes between rounds 9-12 of the body, 8 sts apart.

MUZZLE (brown cotton thread yarn; 2.75 mm hook; make two)

1) 8 sc in a mr (8)

2) *1 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (12)

3) *1 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (18); F/O and leave a long tail of yarn to sew the muzzle between rounds #11-14. Stuff the muzzle as you attach it to the body.

LEGS (yellow yarn; 3.25 mm hook; make 4)

1) 6 sc in a mr (6)

2) *2 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** twice (8); F/O and leave a long tail of yarn to sew the leg onto the body as shown in the picture above.

TAIL (yellow yarn; 3.25 mm hook)

1) work 4 ch, 3 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 3 sc inc in the next 2 sts (9); F/O and leave a long string of yarn to attach the tail to the back of the doll.

COLLAR (bordeaux yarn)

Cut a long string of Bordeaux yarn and wrap it around the pug’s body between rounds #17-18.
