Pig Free Crochet Pattern

Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner

YARN: – Medium Weight Cotton Yarn (Lace 4) in Pink, White, Red

– Aunt Lydia Classic Cotton Thread (Lace 10) in Black

OTHER MATERIALS: Polyester Fiber Filling; Two 6mm Black Plastic Safety Eyes

HOOK SIZES: E/3.25 mm

STITCHES USED and ABBREVIATIONS: magic ring (mr), chain (ch), slip stitch (sl st), single crochet (sc), decrease (dec), increase (inc), fasten off (F/O).

INSTRUCTIONS: work in rounds (join with a sl st and ch1 at the end of each round) otherwise instructed.

LEGS AND BODY (pink, red and white yarn)

Make two:

1) start off with pink yarn, 6 sc in a mr (6)

2) *2 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** twice (8)

3) sc even (8); F/O and hide the yarn and stuff the leg

Do no cut the yarn once you have completed the 2nd leg, CH 1 INSTEAD

Merge the two legs together:

4) join the yarn with a sl st to the 1st leg, ch1 and sc in the same st, 1 sc inc, *1 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** 3 times, 1 sc in the st between the two legs, keep working on the 2nd leg, *1 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** 4 times, 1 sc in the st between the two legs (26)

5-6) sc even (26)

7) switch to red yarn, sc even (26)

8) sc even (26)

9) switch to white yarn, sc even (26)

10) switch to red yarn, sc even (26)

11) sc even (26)

12) switch to white yarn, sc even (26)

13) switch to red yarn, *11 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** twice (24)

14) *2 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (18)

15) switch to white yarn, sc even (18)

16) switch to pink yarn, *7 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** twice (16); F/O and leave a long tail of yarn to attach the body to the head.

HEAD (pink yarn)

1) 6 sc in a mr (6)

2) sc inc around (12)

3) *1 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (18)

4) *2 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (24)

5) *3 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (30)

6) *4 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (36)

7) *5 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (42)

8) *6 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (48)

9-14) sc even (48)

15) *7 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (54)

16-17) sc even (54); insert safety eyes between rnds #11-12, 8 sts apart

18) *7 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (48)

19) *6 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (42)

20) *5 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (36)

21) *4 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (30)

22) *3 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (24); stuff the head firmly

23) *1 sc, 1 sc dec*, repeat ** around (16); F/O and cut the yarn

SNOUT (pink yarn)

1) 6 sc in a mr (6)

2) sc inc around (12)

3) *1 sc, 1 sc inc*, repeat ** around (18); do not ch 1

4) sl st even (18); turn

5-6) sc even (18); F/O and leave a long tail of yarn to sew the nose onto the head between rnds # 12-18. Stuff the nose as you attach it.

Embroider MOUTH, EYEBROWS and SNOUT HOLES with black cotton thread.

Add some make-up blush to the CHEEKS.

EARS (pink yarn; make two)

1) 4 sc in a mr (4)

2) *1 sc, 1 sc inc *, repeat ** twice (6)

3) *2 sc, 1 sc inc *, repeat ** twice (8)

4) *3 sc, 1 sc inc *, repeat ** twice (10); F/O and leave a long tail of yarn to sew the ear on top of the head. Do not stuff the ear, flatten it instead before attaching it between rounds #4-8.

ARMS (pink yarn; make two)

1) 6 sc in a mr (6)

2) *2 sc, 1 sc inc *, repeat ** twice (8)

3) sc even (8); F/O and leave a long tail of yarn to sew the arm to the side of the body (between rounds #11-14). Stuff the arm lightly.

TAIL (pink yarn)

1) crochet 8 chains, work 3 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 3 sc inc in the next 6 sts (21); F/O and leave a long string of yarn to sew the tail to the back of the body between rnds #6-7.

HAT (red and white yarn)

1) starting off with red yarn, 6 sc in a mr (6)

2) *2 sc, 1 sc inc *, repeat ** twice (8)

3) *3 sc, 1 sc inc *, repeat ** twice (10)

4) *4 sc, 1 sc inc *, repeat ** twice (12)

5) *2 sc, 1 sc inc *, repeat ** around (16)

6) *3 sc, 1 sc inc *, repeat ** around (20)

7) *4 sc, 1 sc inc *, repeat ** around (24)

8) sc even (24)

9) switch to white yarn, sc even (24); F/O and cut the yarn (or leave a long tail in case you want to secure the hat on top of the head).

POM POM (white yarn)

Wrap white yarn around your index and middle fingers. Wrap until you get the desired amount of yarn. Gently pull the yarn off of your fingers, wrap another piece around the center of the yarn ball. Tie it tight to secure it and trim at the desired length. Use the yarn ends to attach the pom pom to the tip of the hat.
