Fishing Bucket Free Pattern

Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

Skill level: Advanced
Crochet hook: size 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm
Materials: 6 x safety eyes 7 mm, embroidery needle, scissors, toy stuffing.
Yarn:

Abbreviations:
ch – chain stitch
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
trc – triple crochet
Lsc – Long single crochet – this stitch is worked over the sc from previous round. This
means you extend the stitch and work it two rounds below, instead of 1.
Inc – Increase: work 2 sc in same stitch
Dec – Decrease: work 2 stitches together, work in front loop only
[…] – number of stitches
(…) – number of rounds
TBL – These stitches are worked through back loop of the single crochet from the previous
round.

Small octopus

Materials: 1 x Rainbow Cotton 8/4 Glitter Gold – Natural White (002)
1 x Rainbow Cotton 8/4 Glitter Silver – Antique Rose (061)
1 x Rainbow Cotton 8/4 Melange – Light Rose (17)
2 safety eyes – 7 mm
Begin with Natural White (002)
R1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
R2: Inc 6 times [12]

Bind off. Now work the edge in Antique Rose (061) as follows:
R19: 5 dc in 3
rd sc, skip 2 sc, 1 sc in next stitch, repeat on entire round.
Bind off.
Bottom of octopus:
R1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
R2: Inc 6 times [12]
R3: 1 sc, Inc 6 times [18]

Leave a long end for assembly. Insert the eyes between R12 and R13 with 8 sc in between.
Embroider a mouth and cheeks under the eyes.
Tentacles:
Make 11 tentacles with Rainbow Gold – Natural White (002), Rainbow Silver – Antique Rose
(061) and Rainbow Melange – Light Rose (17).
3 tentacles: 1 in each color:
R1: ch 31, begin in 2
nd ch from hook: 3 sc in each ch [90]
3 tentacles: 2 x Natural White (002), 1 x Antique Rose (061):
R1: ch 31, begin in 2
nd ch from hook: (2 sl st, 2 hdc, 2 sl st) 5 times [30]
2 tentacles: Antique Rose (061):
R1: ch 31, begin in 2
nd ch from hook: 1 sl st in each ch [30]
3 tentacles: 2 x Natural White (002), 1 x Melange – Light Rose (17)
R1: ch 51, begin in 2
nd ch from hook: 1 sl st in each ch [50]
Leave a long end on each tentacle for assembly on the bottom. This will be done before the
bottom is sewn on to the octopus.
Place the tentacles randomly on the bottom. Because you worked back over the chain
stitches, you will have two threads on each tentacle, so we’ll use both of them.
Thread the 1
st
thread on needle and pull it through the bottom from the right side. Unthread
the needle and thread the 2
nd
thread on needle and repeat. Bind the treads thoroughly
together and cut the ends. Make sure the tentacles are thoroughly attached, so they can’t fall
off. Do this with all the tentacles (see photo).
Stuff the octopus, but not too firm, and attach the bottom with the tentacles on the inside of
R19.

2 x Pelvic fins:
With Yellow (054)
R1: ch 8, begin in 2 nd ch from hook: 1 sl st, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 sc, ch 2, continue on the other side of chain row, 1 sc, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sl st. [14]
Bind off and leave a long end for assembly. Attach on 3 rd colored stripe.

2 x Eyes:
With Black (009) and White (001).
Begin with Black (009)

Sew the eyes on the fish, see photo. Begin on round 7.

Pink fish

Embroider the eyes with black yarn on each side of the fish, begin at R7 and continue until
R10

Dragonfish
Materials:
Rainbow Cotton 8/4 Glitter Silver – Sage Green (098)

Bind off and insert the safety eyes between R1 and R2. Do not attach the safety part just yet,
wait until later.
Body:
Begin with Sage Green (098)
R1: ch 31 and begin in 2
nd ch from hook: 29 sc, 3 sc in the last st, continue on the other side
of the chain row, 29 sc, 3 sc in the last st [64]
R2-13: 1 sc in each stitch (12 rounds) [64]
Attach the eyes on the front of the fish, between R5 and R6 and 2 sc from the front, attach
the safety part of the eye and sew the white part on to the fish with small stitches.

Now pull yarn through the front loop of remaining 6 stitches, pull to close. Bind off.
2 x Pectoral fin:
With Natural White (002)
R1: 4 ch, begin in 2

R2: 1 sc in each stitch, turn [3]
R3: 1 sc, Inc, 1 sc, turn [4]
R4: Inc, 2 sc, Inc, turn [6]
R5-6: 1 sc in each stitch (2 rows) [6]
Bind off ender. Attach the fins on R10 2 sc from each eye. Sew them on to both sides of the
fish with small stitches.
5 x Dorsal fins:
With Natural White (002)
R1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
R2: 2 sc, Inc 2x [8]
R3: 3 sc, Inc 2x [10]
R4: 4 sc, Inc 2x [12]
R5: 1 sc in each stitch [12]
Don’t stuff the dorsal fins.
Leave a long end for assembly on top of the fish. Attach first fin on 4 th row. Place remaining
fins with 1 sc between each fin.
3 x Tail fins
With Sage Green (098)
R1: ch 21, begin in 2
nd ch from hook: 20 sl st [20]
Sew one tail fin on round 11 on the back of the fish. Sew another tail fin on R12 and the last
one on R13. Embroider a mouth with black (see photo). Embroider scales on the body with
Rosa.

Spiral fish
Materials:
Rainbow Cotton 8/4 Glitter Silver – Red (058)

Body:
With Red (058)
R1: ch 21, begin in 2 nd ch from hook: 19 sc, 3 sc in the last st, continue on the other side of chain row, 18 sc, 2 sc in the last st [42]
R2-21: 1 sc in each st (20 rounds) [42] Attach the eyes between R6 and R11 with 7 sc between the top of the eyes (see photo). attach the safety part of the eye and sew the white part on the fish with small stitches.

Begin to stuff the fish as you go and continue until you have worked R28.

Now the rest of piece is worked in 2 parts, which will be the tail fin.

Place the fish in front of you, the tail facing away from you. Begin bottom right on the tail:
attach yarn again and work 1 row in single crochet along the entire tail. Work 2 sc in the
corners. Finish on the left side of the tail. Bind off.
3 spirals:
In the colors Pink (044), Dark Green (022), Yellow (054).
R1: ch 40 [40] Leave a long end for assembly, cut the yarn.
Make a total of 3 spirals. Sew the chain row around the body of the fish. You may work a bit more or less chains, to ensure it fits.
Sew the chains on R15, R18 and R21 with small stitches. Bind off.
Embroider a mouth with black.

3 x Sprats
Materials:
Rainbow Cotton 8/4 Glitter Gold: Anthracite (010)
R1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
R2: 1 sc, Inc 3 times [9]
R3: 2 sc, Inc 3 times [12]
R4: 3 sc, Inc 3 times [15]
Begin to stuff the fish as you go, until you have worked R22
R5-19: 1 sc in each stitch (15 rounds) [15]
R20: 3 sc, Dec 3 times [12]
R21: 2 sc, Dec 3 times [9]
R22: 1 sc, Dec 3 times [6]
Now work the tail
R23: Inc 6 times [12]
R24: 3 sc, Inc 3 times [15]
R25: 4 sc, Inc 3 times [18]

R27: fold the tail flat and work ch 1 and 1 sc, 10 times, through both parts.
Bind off.
Embroider the eyes with black with a few stitches on top of each other on R5.

3 x small fish

Don’t stuff this fish.
Fold the fish flat and work through both sides:

Embroider a little eye with black.
All the fish are now ready!

Bucket
Materials:
Mayflower Cotton 2: 2 x Yellow (035), 1 x Black (043).
Crochet hook 3.0 mm
Normally you would use a crochet hook 3.5 mm for this yarn, but to make a firmer bucket,
you will get a better result if you work it with a smaller hook, than you would normally use.
R1: ch 72, and make a ring with 1 sl st [72]
R2: ch 1, 11 sc, Inc 6 times, finish with a sl st [78]
R3: ch 1, 12 sc, Inc 6 times, finish with a sl st [84]
R4-5: 1 sc in each stitch (2 rounds), finish with a sl st [84]
R6: 1 sc in each stitch TBL, finish with a sl st [84]
R7-8: 1 sc in each stitch (2 rounds), finish with a sl st [84]
R9: 12 sc, Dec 6 times, finish with a sl st [78]
R10: 11 sc, Dec 6 times, finish with a sl st [72]
Fold piece.
R11: work through both parts with 1 sc in each stitch [72]
R12-13: 1 sc in each stitch (2 rounds) [72]
R14: 11 sc, Inc 6 times [78]
R15-19: 1 sc in each stitch (5 rounds) [78]

Bottom:
Cut a circle in cardboard with a diameter of 9 cm.
Now we work 2 circles that will fit around the cardboard.
R1: 6 sc in a MR [6]

Bind off. Make one more circle in the same way. Place the first circle in front of you, right
side facing down, place the cardboard circle on top of it and hereafter the second circle on
top, with the right side facing up. Begin where you finished on R12, and work a round of sc
around the circle. Pull the crocheted circles tight around the cardboard.
Leave a long end to sew the bottom on to the bucket on R11, where you began to work the
sides of the bucket.
2 x hinges:
R1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
R2: Inc 6 times [12]
R3: 1 sc, Inc 6 times [18]
R4: 1 sc in each stitch [18]
R5: 1 sc, Dec 6 times [12]
R6: Dec 6 times [6]
R7: 1 sc in each stitch [6]
Bind off ender and stuff the hinge firmly. Sew the hinge on to the bucket in R4 from top. Sew
the other hinge on to the other side of the bucket.
Handle:
R1: ch 61, begin in 2
nd ch from hook: 60 sc [60]
R2: 3 sc, ch 3, skip 3 sc, 54 sc, ch 3, skip 3 sc, 3 sc [60]
R3: 3 sc, 3 sc in ch 3, 54 sc, 3 sc in ch 3, 3 sc [60]
Bind off. Putt hinges through the holes you made on the handle on R2.
Fill the bucket with the fish and let playtime begin!
