Easter Chick With Bunny Ears Free Crochet  Pattern

PPHello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

You will need:

  • YarnArt Jeans yarn (55% cotton, 45% acrylic)
  • 2.0-2.5 mm crochet hook
  • 8 mm safety eyes
  • Orange embroidery floss or yarn for beak
  • Pink dry pastel crayon for cheeks and ears
  • Sewing needle and scissors
  • Fiberfill

Abbreviations:
R – row
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in one stitch)
dec – decrease (2 sc together)
dc – double crochet
hdc – half double crochet
[…] – number of stitches you should have at the end of the row
(…) – repeat whatever is between the brackets the given number of times

Head-body
With yellow yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
R 3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
R 4: (2 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
R 5: (3 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
R 6: (1 sc, inc, 3 sc) repeat 6 times [36]
R 7-19: 36 sc (13 rows)
R 20: (4 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [30]
R 21: (1 sc, dec, 2 sc) repeat 6 times [24]
Insert safety eyes between R 14 and R 15 at the distance of 6 sc from each other.
R 22: (2 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [18]
R 23: (1 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [12]
R 24: (dec) repeat 6 times [6]
Fasten off.

Wings (make 2)
With yellow yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
R 3: (3 sc, inc) repeat 3 times [15]
R 4-7: 15 sc (4 rows)
R 8: (3 sc, dec) repeat 3 times [12]
R 9: (2 sc, dec) repeat 3 times [9]
Fold the top opening flat and 4 sc through both sides.
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Ears (make 2)
With white yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (1 sc, inc) repeat 3 times [9]
R 3: (2 sc, inc) repeat 3 times [12]
R 4-12: 12 sc (9 rows)
R 13: 2 sc, dec, 4 sc, dec, 2 sc [10]
R 14: 2 sc only
Fold the top opening flat and 5 sc through both sides.
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Egg shell
With white yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
R 3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
R 4: (2 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
R 5: (1 sc, inc, 2 sc) repeat 6 times [30]
R 6: (4 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [36]
R 7: (2 sc, inc, 3 sc) repeat 6 times [42]
R 8-11: 42 sc (4 rows)
R 12: 2 sc, 1 hdc, 2 dc, 1 hdc, 5 sc, (1 hdc, 2 dc, 1 hdc, 5 sc) repeat 3 times, 1 hdc, 2 dc, 1 hdc, sl st

Assembly
Embroider a nose with orange yarn.
Sew wings to the body.
Sew ears on the head.
Sew egg shell to the body.
Tint ears and cheeks using dry pastel crayon.

Carrot
With orange yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (1 sc, inc) repeat 3 times [9]
R 3: 9 sc
R 4: (2 sc, inc) repeat 3 times [12]
R 5: 12 sc
R 6: (3 sc, inc) repeat 3 times [15]
R 7-9: 15 sc (3 rows)
R 10: (3 sc, dec) repeat 3 times [12]
R 11: (1 sc, dec) repeat 4 times [8]
R 12: (dec) repeat 2 times
Fasten off.

Carrot leaves (make 5-6)
Join green yarn on the top.
Make 10 ch. From the 2nd ch from hook: 9 sc, sl st on the carrot top.

All Finished.
