Dotti the Piglet Free Pattern

Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

Skill level: Advanced
Crochet hook: 3.5 mm
Materials: A bit of Rainbow Lace (or another black lace yarn) for the eyebrows, a bit of yellow and blue for the flowers, a bit of white for around the eyes, toy stuffing, safety eyes 6 mm, 1 button 15 mm
Yarn: Rainbow Cotton 8/8
Almond (#089) – 2 skeins
Rose (#044) – 1 skein

Abbreviations:
Sc = Single crochet
Sl st = Slip stitch
Mr = Magic ring
( ) = repeat number in bracket
Inc. = Increase
Dec. = Decrease
Rnd = Rounds
(xx) bracket at the end of the round = the number of stitches after finished round
Ch = Chain stitch

Tip:
Stuff the head and body firmly.
Work as tight as possible to avoid holes in between the stitches.

Pattern
Head and body:
With Almond
Rnd 1: work 6 sc in mr
Rnd 2: inc 6 times (12)
Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 6 times (18)
Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) repeat 6 times (24)
Rnd 5: (3 sc, inc) repeat 6 times (30)
Rnd 6: (4 sc, inc) repeat 6 times (36)
Rnd 7: (5 sc, inc) repeat 6 times (42)
Rnd 8: (6 sc, inc) repeat 6 times (48)
Rnd 9: (7 sc, inc) repeat 6 times (54)
Rnd 10-18: work 1 sc in each sc (54)
Attach the eyes between round 13 and 14, with 7 sc in between, and embroider a white edge around the edge of each eye.
Stuff the head firmly with the toy stuffing as you go.

Stuff the body firmly with the toy stuffing as you go.
Rnd 31-43: 1 sc in each sc for 13 rounds (36)

Cut the yarn but leave a long end to close the last 9 sc. Using a needle, pull yarn end through
each of the 9 loops on the outside. Pull to close and fasten thread.

Legs:
With Almond, make 4 pcs.
Rnd 1: work 6 sc in mr
Rnd 2: inc 6 times (12)
Rnd 3: (3 sc, inc) repeat 3 times (15)
Stuff the foot firmly and the rest of the leg more loosely as you go.
Rnd 4-6: work 1 sc in each sc for 3 rounds (15)
Rnd 7: dec 4 times, 7 sc (11)
Rnd 8-11: 1 sc in each sc, 1 sl st (11)
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly.

Snout:
With Almond
Work around the first round, meaning you work in both sides of the chain stitches.
Rnd 1: ch 4
Rnd 2: (inc, 2 sc) repeat 2 times (8)
Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc, 3 sc, inc, 3 sc, 1 sl st (10)
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly.

Ears:
With Almond, make 2 pcs.
Rnd 1: work 3 sc in mr
Rnd 2: inc 3 times (6)
Rnd 3: 1 sc in each sc (6)
Rnd 4: inc 6 times (12)
Rnd 5: (1 sc, inc) repeat 6 times (18)
Rnd 6-11: 1 sc in each sc for 6 rounds (18)
Rnd 12: (1 sc, dec) repeat 6 times (12)
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly.

Trousers:
With Rose
Rnd 1: ch 48
Rnd 2: form a ring with one sc in first ch, work another 48 sc
Rnd 3-12: 1 sc in each sc for 10 rounds (48)
Rnd 13: DON’T break the yarn, but ch 30 for the strap on the trousers.
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly of strap and button.

Tail:
With Almond
Rnd 1: ch 21, turn
Rnd 2: inc 20 times in each ch (40)
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly.

Flowers:
Big flower in Rose
Rnd 1: ch 65, turn, 1 sc in each ch (64)
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly.
Medium flower in yellow
Rnd 1: ch 45, turn, 1 sc in each ch (44)
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly.

Little flower in blue
Rnd 1: 25 ch, turn, 1 sc in each ch (24)
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly.

Assembly:
Embroider the eyebrows.
The ears are sewn on the head in an oblique line on round 7-9.
Sew the arms on the body on round 27-30.
Sew the legs on the body on round 39-42.
The trousers are put on the piglet, and sew them together in between the legs to create the legs of the trousers, sew over 6 sc.
Pull the strap over the shoulder to the front, from left to right or right to left, sew the strap on the trousers with the button.
Sew the tail on the back, in the middle of the trousers.
Sew the snout on the face in the middle with only 2 stitches, the edge must be free.
