Baloo the Bear Free Pattern

Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

Skill level: Advanced
Crochet hook: 2.00 mm / US B/1
Materials: A bit of grey yarn for the snout, a bit of black yarn for the eyes, 2 wooden buttons size 15 mm, toy stuffing.
Yarn: Rainbow Cotton 8/4
Grey Brown (#005) – 2 skeins
Baby Blue (#032) – 1 skein

Abbreviations:
Sc = Single crochet
Sl st = Slip stitch
Mr = Magic ring
Hdc = Half double crochet
( ) = Repeat wat is mentioned in brackets
Inc = Increase
Dec = Decrease
(xx) = brackets after rounds = number of stitches after finished round
Ch = Chain stitch

Tips:
Stuff the head and body firmly.
Work as tight as possible to avoid holes in between the stitches.

Arm:
With Grey Brown, make 2 pcs.
Round 1: work 6 sc in mr.
Round 2: inc 6 times (12).
Round 3: (3 sc, 1 inc). Repeat 3 times (15)
Round 4-35: 1 sc in each sc on all 32 rounds (15)
Stuff the arm slightly as you go.
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly.

Leg:
With Grey Brown, make 2 pcs.
Round 1: work 6 sc in mr.
Round 2: inc 6 times (12)
Round 3: (1 sc, inc). Repeat 6 times (18)
Round 4: (2 sc, inc). Repeat 6 times (24)
Round 5-9: 1 sc in each sc on all 5 rounds (24)
Stuff the foot firmly and the rest of the leg less firm as you go.
Round 10: (dec). Repeat 5 times, 14 sc (19)
Round 11: (dec). Repeat 4 times, 11 sc (15)
Round 12-43: 1 sc in each sc (15) 32 rounds.
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly.
The head and body are worked in one piece, you begin with the head.

With Grey Brown
Round 1: work 6 sc in mr

Cut the yarn but leave a long end to close the last 9 sc. Using a needle, pull yarn end through
each of the 9 loops on the outside. Pull to close and fasten thread.

Snout:
With Grey Brown
Round 1: work 6 sc in mr
Round 2: inc 6 times (12)
Round 3: (1 sc, inc). Repeat 6 times (18)
Round 4: 1 sc in each sc on entire round (18)

Ears:
With Grey Brown, make 2 pcs.
Round 1: work 6 sc in mr
Round 2: inc 6 times (12)
Round 3: (1 sc, inc). Repeat 6 times (18)
Round 4: (2 sc, inc). Repeat 6 times (24)
Round 5-7: 1 sc in each sc on 4 rounds (24)
Round 8: (2 sc, dec). Repeat 6 times (18)
Round 9: 1 sc in each sc on entire round (18)
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly.

Butterfly:
With Baby Blue
Round 1: 45 ch
Round 2: form a ring with one sc in ch, work another 44 sc
Round 3-9: 1 sc in each sc on 7 rounds (45)
Bind off.

Strap for butterfly:
With Baby Blue
Work in rows and finish each row with a ch 1 and turn.
Round 1: 15 ch
Round 2: 1 sc in each sc on entire round (14)
Round 3-4: 1 sc in each sc on 2 rounds (14)
Bind off and sew the strap tightly around the butterfly.

Trouser:
With Baby Blue
Round 1: 66 ch
Round 2: form a ring with one sc in ch, work another 65 sc
Round 3-19: 1 sc in each sc on 7 rounds (66)
Round 20: 1 hdc in each sc, 1 sl st (66)
Bind off.

Assembly:
Sew the ears on the head on round 8-13, counted from top of the head.
The snout is sown on to round 16-22 and embroider hereafter the nose, with a bit of grey.
The eyes are embroidered on round 15-16 in an oblique line over 5 sc.
The butterfly is sown on the body, just below the head.
The arms are sown on to the neck of the edge
The legs are sown on round 71 at the bottom of the body.
The trousers are put on the bear and sown together in the middle between the legs to create
the legs on the trousers, sew over approx. 6 sc.
Sew the buttons on the middle of the pants.
