Baby Dino Free Pattern

Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

Difficulty: Intermediate
Crochet hook: 3.5 mm
Materials: Scissor, tapestry needle, 2 safety eyes (7 mm), stuffing.
Yarn: Mayflower Cotton 2
Bright Yellow (28) – 1 skein
White (22) – 1 skein
Peach (51) – 1 skein

Abbreviations:
MR – Magic ring
ch – chain stitch
sc – single crochet
sc2in1 – make 2 sc in 1 st
sc2tog – make 1 sc over 2 sts

Head
Using Bright Yellow (28)
R1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
R2: (sc2in1) 6x [12]
R3: (1 sc, sc2in1) 6x [18]
R4: (2 sc, sc2in1) 6x [24]
R5: (3 sc, sc2in1) 6x [30]
R6: (4 sc, sc2in1) 6x [36]
R7: (5 sc, sc2in1) 6x [42]
R8: (6 sc, sc2in1) 6x [48]
R9-15: 1 sc in every st {7 rounds} [48]
R16: (6 sc, sc2tog) 6x [42]
R17: (5 sc, sc2tog) 6x [36] Fill with stuffing as you work.
R18: (4 sc, sc2tog) 6x [30]
R19: (3 sc, sc2tog) 6x [24]
Cut the yarn with a long tail to use to sew the head on to the body, and bind off.

Eyes
Using White (22)
R1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
R2: (1 sc, sc2in1) 3x [9]
R3: 1 sc in every st [9]
Secure the safety eyes in the MR. Fill the eyes with a small amount of stuffing and sew them on to the head at R8 with 3 sts in between.

Snout
Using Bright Yellow (28)
R1: Ch 8, then beginning in the second st from the needle, sc in the next 6 sts, 3 sc in the next st, continue along the other side of the ch row, sc in the next 5 sts, 2 sc in the last st [16]
R2: sc2in1, sc in the next 5 sts, sc2in1, sc, sc2in1, sc in the next 5 sts, sc2in1, sc [20]
R3-4: 1 sc in every st {2 rounds} [20]
Bind off, leaving a long tail to use to sew the snout on to the head. Fill the snout with a bit of stuffing and sew it onto the head so that the mid point is right between the eyes. Embroider a mouth with Peach (51)

Body
Using Bright Yellow (28)
R1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
R2: (sc2in1) 6x [12]
R3: (1 sc, sc2in1) 6x [18]
R4: (2 sc, sc2in1) 6x [24]
R5: (3 sc, sc2in1) 6x [30]
R6: (4 sc, sc2in1) 6x [36]
R7-10: 1 sc in every st {4 rounds} [36]
R11: (4 sc, sc2tog) 6x [30]
R12-13: 1 sc in every st {2 rounds} [30]
R14: (3 sc, sc2tog) 6x [24]
R15-16: 1 sc in every st {2 rounds} [24]
Bind off. Fill the body with stuffing and sew the head on to the body like so: Sew 24 sts of the head and 24 sts of the body together, one by one so that they match up, using small stitches.
Legs and feet are made separately and joined later.

Legs
Make 2, using Bright Yellow (28)
R1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
R2: (sc2in1) 6x [12]
R3-7: 1 sc in every st {5 rounds} [12]
Bind off with a long tail to use to sew the leg on to the body and make the other leg in the
same manner. Fill them with stuffing.
Now, make the feet, then sew them together and to the body.

Feet
Make 2, using Bright Yellow (28)
R1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
R2: (2 sc, sc2in1) 2x [8]
R3: (3 sc, sc2in1) 2x [10]
R4: (4 sc, sc2in1) 2x [12]
R5: (5 sc, sc2in1) 2x [14]
R6: (6 sc, sc2in1) 2x [16]
R7: (7 sc, sc2in1) 2x [18]
R8-9: 1 sc in every st [18]
Bind off with a long tail end, press them flat and sew the top of the feet together. The feet are not stuffed! Embroider a few white stitches over the edge of the feet to create toes.
Now place the leg on top of the foot so that the heel is in line with the back and sew them together with small stitches. Then place the leg on the side of the body. Make sure to check that the baby dino sits well on the bottom of its body. Sew the leg to the body.

Arms
Using Bright Yellow (28)
R1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
R2-7: 1 sc in every st {6 rounds} [6]
Bind off with a long tail to use to sew the arms to the body. Do not stuff the arms.
Place the arms at each side of R15 of the body and fasten with a few stitches.

Tail
Using Bright Yellow (28)
R1: 6 sc in a MR [6]
R2: 1 sc in every st [6]
R3: (1 sc, sc2in1) 3x [9]
R4: 1 sc in every st [9]
R5: (2 sc, sc2in1) 3x [12]
R6: 1 sc in every st [12]
R7: (3 sc, sc2in1) 3x [15]
R8: 1 sc in every st [15]
R9: (4 sc, sc2in1) 3x [18]
R10: 1 sc in every st [18]
R11: (5 sc, sc2in1) 3x [21]

Bind off with a long tail end. Fill the tail with stuffing and sew it to the back of the body. Make
sure the dino can still sit down well.

Dots
Using Peach (51).

10 small dots:
R1: 6 sc in a MR [6] Bind off with a long tail end to sew them on to the dino.

3 large dots:
R1: 10 sc in a MR [10] Bind off with a long tail end to sew them on to the dino.
Distribute the dots across the body and head (I have placed 5 small and 1 big on the head, 2 small and 1 big on the belly, 3 small and 1 big on the back and tail).
