Amigurumi Teddy Bear Crochet Pattern

Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

You will need:

  • YarnArt Dolce or Himalaya Dolphin Baby yarn (1/2 skein), 4.0 mm crochet hook
  • YarnArt Jeans or Alize Cotton Gold yarn, 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • 12 mm safety eyes
  • Black yarn for embroidering nose
  • Sewing needle and scissors
  • Fiberfill

Height: 20 cm (7.8”)

Abbreviations:
R — row
ch — chain
sc — single crochet
hdc — half double crochet
inc — increase
dec — decrease
[…] – number of stitches you should have at the end of the row
(…) – repeat whatever is between the brackets the given number of times

Arms (make 2)
R 1: 2 ch, 7 sc in second ch from hook [7]
R 2-8: 7 sc (7 rows)
Stuff 1/3 full.
Fold the top opening flat and 3 sc through both sides.
Fasten off.

Legs-body-head
R 1: 2 ch, 6 sc in second ch from hook [6]
R 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
R 3-6: 12 sc (4 rows)
Fasten off.

Crochet the second leg, do not fasten off.

Make 2 ch and join with the first leg.
Continue crocheting the body:
R 7: 12 sc on the first leg, 2 sc in 2 ch, 12 sc on the second leg, 2 sc in 2 ch (opposite side) [28]
R 8: (13 sc, inc) repeat 2 times [30]
R 9-12: 30 sc (4 rows)
R 13: (4 sc, dec) repeat 5 times [25]
R 14: 25 sc
R 15: (3 sc, dec) repeat 5 times [20]
R 16: 20 sc
R 17: Join arms. Start crochet from the middle of the back. If you need you can crochet some sc more to the middle.
3 sc, 3 sc together with sc of the 1st arm, 8 sc, 3 sc together with sc of the 2nd hand, 3 sc [20]
R 18: (2 sc, dec) repeat 5 times [15]
Continue crocheting the head:
R 19: (inc) repeat 15 times [30]
R 20: (4 sc, inc)*6 (36)
R 21-26: 36 sc (6 rows)
Insert safety eyes between R 23 and R 24 at the distance of 5-6 st from each other.
R 27: (4 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [30]
R 28: (3 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [24]
R 29: (2 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [18]
R 30: (1 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [12]
R 31: (dec) repeat 6 times [6]
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.


Muzzle
Make 4 ch.
Make an oval, starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
R 1: from the 2nd ch from hook: inc, 1 sc, 4 sc in last st, turn: 1 sc, inc [10]
R 2: 2 inc, 1 sc, 4 inc, 1 sc, 2 inc [18]
R 3: 18 sc
Fasten off.

Ears (make 2)
R 1: 2 ch, 6 sc in second ch from hook [6]
R 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
R 3: (3 sc, inc) repeat 3 times [15]
R 4: (3 sc, dec) repeat 3 times [12]
Fasten off.

Tail
R 1: 2 ch, 6 sc in second ch from hook [6]
R 2: (1 sc, inc) repeat 3 times [9]
R 3: (1 sc, dec) repeat 3 times [6]
Fasten off.

Scarf
YarnArt Jeans yarn, 2.5 mm crochet hook
Make 115 ch.
R 1: from the 2nd ch from hook: hdc in every st to the end of row
R 2: BLO: hdc in every st to the end of row
Fasten off.

Assembly
Sew ears to the head from R 4 of the top.
Sew muzzle on the head. Put some fiberfill inside before you finish.
Embroider eye brows and nose.
