Amigurumi Frog Crochet Pattern – All Free Amigurumi

Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

Materials:

• Yarn: Alize Cotton Gold
• Hook size: 2.0 mm and 1.75 mm
• Black safety eyes
• Black embroidery floss for mouth
• Sewing needle and scissors
• Fiberfill

Abbreviation:

MR – magic ring
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
st – stitch
BLO – back loops only
FLO – front loops only
inc – increase ( 2 sc from 1 st)
dec – decrease (2 sc together)
Number in () at the end is a total number of st in that row.

Head

Start with a dark green yarn:
1. 6 sc in MR
2. inc*6 (12 st)
3. (1 sc, inc)*6 (18 st)
4. (2 sc, inc)*6 (24 st)
5. (3 sc, inc)*6 (30 st)
6. (4 sc, inc) *6 (36 st)
7. (5 sc, inc)*6 (42 st)
8. (6 s, inc)*6 (48 st)
9 – 15. 48 sc

Change color to light green:
16. BLO – 48 sl st (48 st)
17. BLO from row 16 and 17 together-48 sc (48 st)
18. (6 sc, dec)*6 (42 st)
20. (5 sc, dec)*6 (36 st)
21. (4 sc, dec)*6 (30 st)
22. (3 sc, dec)*6 (24 st)
23. (2 sc, dec)*6 (18 st)
Leave the tail for sewing.

Cheeks

8 sc in MR, sl st.
Leave the tail for sewing.

Tongue

Ch 6, from the 2-nd ch from the hook – 5 sc, sl st. Leave the tail for sewing.

Eyes

White of the eye – make 2, hook 1.75mm
1. 6 sc in MR
2. inc*6 (12 st)
3. (1 sc, inc)*6 (18 st)
4-5. 18 sc
6. (1 sc, dec)*6 (12 st)
7. dec*6 (6 st)
Please safety eyes, stuff and close the opening.

Lid – make 2, hook 2 mm

1. 6 sc In MR
2. inc*6 (12 st)
3. (1 sc, inc)*6 (18 st)
4-5. 18 sc
6. 9 sc, sl st
Leave the tail for sewing.

Arms (make 2):

1. 6 sc in MR
2. (1 sc, inc)*3 (9 st)
3 – 20.9 sc
Fold edges together and single crochet them with 4 sc. Leave the tail for sewing.

Legs (make 2)

Ch 10, from the 2-nd ch from the hook:
1. 8 sc, inc, on the other side of ch – 8 sc, inc (20
st)
2-4. 20 sc
5. (dec, 8 sc)*2 (18 st)
6. (dec, 7 sc)*2 (16 st)
7. (dec, 6 sc)*2 (14 st)
8. (dec, 5 sc)*2 (12 st)
9. 12 sc, start making the heel. Work in turns:
– 3 sc, sl st, turn
– 3 sc, sl st, turn
– 3 sc
You should have 10 sc in a row (minus 2 sl st). Continue to crochet the leg:
10-24. 10 sc
Make a couple of sc if you need to arrive to the side of the leg. Fold edges together and single crochet them with 5 sc.

Body

Connect the white color yarn to the first leg. Ch 5 and connect the second leg:
25. FLO second leg – 5 Sc, BLO second leg – 5 sc, 5 sc on the chain, FLO first leg – 5 sc, BLO
first leg – 5 sc, 5 sc on the chain (30 st)
26. (4 sc, inc)*6 (36 st) Change color to blue.
27. (5 sc, inc)*6 (42 st)
28. 42 sc
Change color to white.
Continue to change color of the yarn every 2 row.

29-34. 42 sc
35. (5 sc, dec)*6 (36 st)
36 – 37. 36 sc
38. (4 sc, dec) *6 (30 st)
39 – 40. 30 sc
41. (3 sc, dec)*6 (24 st)
42. 24 sc
Change color to green:
43. BLO – 24 sc
44. (2 sc, dec)*6 (18 st)
45 – 47. 18 sc
Leave the tail for sewing.

Swimming Ring

1. 6 sc in MR
2. inc*6 (12 st)
3. (3 sc, inc)*3 (15 st)
4-n. Make “n” rows, till required diameter (try and fit it to your frog in the process) Si st and cut the yarn. Leave the tail for sewing.

Duck-head

1. 6 sc in MR
2. inc*6 (12 st)
3. (1 sc, inc)*6 (18 st)
4. (2 sc, inc)*6 (24 st)
5-8. 24 sc
9. (2 sc, dec)*6 (18 st)
10. (1 sc, dec) *6 (12 st)
Sl st and cut the yarn. Leave the tail for sewing.

Beak

1. 6 sc in MR
2. inc*6 (12 st)
3. 12 sc Sl st and cut the yarn. Leave the tail for sewing.
