<p><strong>LEGS (make 2)</strong><br>Round 1: With white, 6 sc in a magic ring.<br>Round 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12)<br>Round 3: (1 sc, 1 inc) around. (18)<br>Round 4-5: Sc around. (18)<br>Round 6: (sc2tog) X 4, sc 10. (14)<br>Round 7: (sc2tog) X 5, sc 4. (9)<br>Stuff foot.<br>Round 8-11: Sc around. (9)<br>Round 12: (2 sc, 1 inc) X3. (12)<br>Round 13: (1 sc, 1 inc) X 6. <p><strong>ARMS (make 2)</strong><br>Round 1: With light brown, 6 sc in magic ring.<br>Round 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12)<br>Round 3: (1 sc, 1 inc) around. (18)<br>Round 4: Sc around. (18)<br>In the next round, we will shape thumb with<br>a bauble stitch. If you are unfamiliar with this<br>stitch, a how-to is included in the next page.<br>Round 5: (1 sc, 1 dec) X 3, bauble st in the next<br>st, 1 dec, (1 sc, 1 dec)X2. (12)<br>Round 6: Sc around. (12)<br>Round 7: (2 sc, 1 dec) X 3. (9)<br>Round 8: Sc around. (9)<br>Start stuffing the arm.<br>Round 9: Sc around. (9)<br>Round 10: Join dark brown and sc around. (9)<br>Round 11. Sc in BLO. (9)<br>Round 12-22: Sc around.<br>FO, stuff and sew top opening close.<br>Join dark brown yarn at Round 11 and sc<br>around for two rounds. FO and sew to body.</p>



<p><strong>HAT</strong><br>The hat will be knitted in the flat and later<br>joined at the seams.<br>Cast on 50 sts with blue.<br>Row 1-3: K1, P1.<br>Row 4-7: Starting with a purl row, working in<br>stocking stitch till Row 7.<br>Row 8: P12, cast off 8, P10, cast off 8, P12.<br>Row 9: K12, cast on 8, K10, cast on 8, K12.<br>Row 10-20: Continue working in stocking stitch.<br>Row 21: K2tog X 25. (25)<br>Row 22: P2tog X 12, P1. (13)<br>Cut off yarn, leaving a long tail. Use this length<br>of yarn to sew the hat seams together.</p>



<p><strong>POMPOM</strong><br>Wrap yellow yarn around your four fingers<br>around 80 times. The more you wrap, the<br>better your pompom will turn out. Carefully<br>slide the yarn off your fingers and tie a piece<br>of yarn around the center in a knot. Leave the<br>ends of this string long; you will use them later<br>to secure this pompom to the teddy’s hat.<br>With a pair of scissors, cut through the loops on<br>both sides of the pompom. Now begins the fun<br>part. Take your scissors and trim the pompom<br>into a round shape using the scissors. Once you<br>are satisfied with the shape of your pompom,<br>thread the long yarn ends of the pompom<br>onto a darning needle and secure your fluffy<br>pompom to the hat.</p>



<p><strong>ATTACH EARS TO HEAD &amp; HEAD TO BODY</strong><br>Slide the hat on the teddy’s head and<br>using pearl headed pins, tack ears just<br>on the spots where the hat has slits<br>for ears. Carefully remove hat without<br>disturbing the ears. With a darning<br>needle, secure ears to head. Now sew<br>head to body and put the hat back on.</p>



<p><strong>HOW TO MAKE A BAUBLE STITCH</strong><br>YO, insert hook into next st, pull yarn<br>through (loops on hook = 3), yo, pull<br>through 2 loops (loops remaining on<br>hook = 2),<br>(YO, insert hook into the same st, YO,<br>pull through, YO, pull through 2 loops)<br>X 2 (loops remaining on hook = 5), YO,<br>pull yarn through all 5 loops</p>



<p><strong>SCARF</strong><br>Ch 82 with blue, and starting from 3rd st from<br>the hooki, hdc in each st across. FO and weave<br>in ends.</p>



<p><strong>STOCKING</strong><br>Round 1: With green, 8 sc in a magic ring.<br>Round 2: Inc around. (16)<br>Round 3-9: Sc around.<br>Round 10: Join red, sc 8, ch 1, turn.<br>Round 11-12: Sc 8, ch 1, turn.<br>Round 13: Sc 8, (fold the sock so that both<br>vertical edges of the heel meet; then using<br>green, join with a sc), sc 4 along the edge of the<br>heel, sc 8 across the main body, sc 4 along the<br>edge.<br>Before working on the next round, sew the gap<br>in the heel.<br>Round 14-20: Sc around.<br>Round 21: (3 sc, 1 inc) X 4. (20)<br>Round 22: Sc around.<br>Round 23-25: Join contrasting color and sc<br>around.<br>FO.<br>Wrap scarf around neck and tack stocking to<br>paws with a few stitches.</p>
