<p>Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.</p>

<p>A 2.25mm (US B/1) hook<br>2 safety eyes, 8mm<br>Toy stuffing<br>Makeup blush (optional)<br>5 small beads (optional)<br><br><strong>Tension</strong><br>Tension is not critical for this project, but it may affect the yarn quantities required<br><br><strong>Measurements</strong><br>Crochet snake measures 11cm (4¼in) tall<br><br><strong>Abbreviations</strong><br>You can find a full list of all abbreviations we use in our&nbsp;abbreviations and conversions&nbsp;guide. This free crochet snake pattern is written in UK terminology but you can easily convert it to US terms using the guide.<br><br><strong>Notes</strong><br>This amigurumi snake crochet pattern is worked in the amigurumi style unless otherwise stated. Work stitches in a continuous spiral without closing off each round with a slip stitch. You may find it helpful to mark the first stitch of the round, moving the marker up as you go.<br>The crochet snake is worked from the Head down. A space is left towards the end of the Head which the Body is worked off from. The Tail is worked in the same way, with a space being left towards the end of the Body.</p>

<p><strong>Head</strong><br>Using&nbsp;<strong>Yarn A</strong>, make a&nbsp;crochet magic loop.<br><strong>Round 1 (RS)</strong>&nbsp;Ch1 (does not count as a st throughout), 8dc in loop. [8 sts]<br><strong>Round 2</strong>&nbsp;2dc in each st around. [16 sts]<br><strong>Round 3</strong>&nbsp;(1dc, 2dc in next st) 8 times. [24 sts]<br><strong>Round 4</strong>&nbsp;(2dc, 2dc in next st) 8 times. [32 sts]<br><strong>Round 5</strong>&nbsp;Dc in next st, 2dc in next st, (3dc, 2dc in next st) 7 times, dc in next 2 sts. [40 sts]<br><strong>Round 6</strong>&nbsp;(4dc, 2dc in next st) 8 times. [48 sts]<br><strong>Rounds 7-10</strong>&nbsp;Dc in each st around.<br><strong>Round 11</strong>&nbsp;(7dc, 2dc in next st) 6 times. [54 sts]<br><strong>Rounds 12-15</strong>&nbsp;Dc in each st around.<br><strong>Round 16&nbsp;</strong>(8dc, 2dc in next st) 6 times. [60 sts]<br><strong>Rounds 17-18</strong>&nbsp;Dc in each st around. [60 sts]<br><strong>Round 19&nbsp;</strong>(2dc, dc2tog) 9 times,&nbsp;<strong>change to Yarn B</strong>&nbsp;(leave Yarn A inside the work to crochet the Body later), ch8, skip 24 sts, dc in first st of round. [27 sts, 1 ch-8 sp]<br><strong>Round 20</strong>&nbsp;(1dc, dc2tog) 9 times, dc in each ch across. [26 sts]<br>Insert eyes between Rounds 15-16, 12 sts apart.<br>Start stuffing Head firmly.<br><strong>Round 21</strong>&nbsp;(Dc2tog) 13 times. [13 sts]<br><strong>Rounds 21 (</strong>Dc2tog) 6 times, dc in final st. [7 sts]<br><strong>Fasten off</strong>&nbsp;and use the tail to close the opening.<br><br><strong>Body</strong><br>Insert the hook first skipped st from Round 18 of Head and pick up&nbsp;<strong>Yarn A</strong>.<br><strong>Round 1 (RS)</strong>&nbsp;Ch1, dc in first 24 sts,&nbsp;<strong>change to Yarn B</strong>, working in opposite side of ch-8: (1dc, 2dc in next st) 4 times. [36 sts]</p>



<p><strong>Change to Yarn A</strong>.<br><strong>Rounds 2-12&nbsp;</strong>Dc in first 24 sts,&nbsp;<strong>change to Yarn B</strong>, dc in next 12 sts.<br><strong>Round 13</strong>&nbsp;Change to&nbsp;<strong>Yarn A</strong>, (8dc, 2dc in next st) twice, dc in next 6 sts,&nbsp;<strong>change to Yarn B</strong>, dc in next 12<br>sts. [38 sts]<br>Start stuffing the Body, continue as you go.<br><strong>Rounds 14-15&nbsp;</strong>Change to&nbsp;<strong>Yarn A</strong>, dc in next 26 sts,&nbsp;<strong>change to Yarn B</strong>, dc in next 12 sts.<br><br><strong>Fasten off Yarn A only.</strong><br><strong>Round 16&nbsp;</strong>(1dc, dc2tog) twice, ch6, skip 14 sts (tail space made), (1dc, dc2tog) 6 times. [16 sts, 1 ch-6 sp]<br><strong>Round 17</strong>&nbsp;Dc in first 4 sts, dc in each ch across, dc in final 12 sts. [22 sts]<br><strong>Round 18</strong>&nbsp;(Dc2tog) 11 times. [11 sts]<br><strong>Round 19</strong>&nbsp;(Dc2tog) 3 times, ss in final st.<br><strong>Fasten off</strong>&nbsp;and use the tail to close the opening.<br>Using Chrystalline, Lilac Mist, Lemon, Kiwi, Vintage Peach and Marshmallow, sew small straight sts over the stomach. You can use the image as a guide.</p>

<p><strong>Tail</strong><br>Join&nbsp;<strong>Yarn A</strong>&nbsp;in seventh skipped st from Round 15 of Body.<br><strong>Round 1</strong>&nbsp;Ch1, dc in next 8 sts, 6dc in opposite side of ch-6, dc in next 6 skipped sts from Round 15. [20 sts]<br><strong>Rounds 2-26&nbsp;</strong>Dc in each st around.<br>Start stuffing Tail, continue as you go.<br><strong>Round 27&nbsp;</strong>(3dc, dc2tog) 4 times. [16 sts]<br><strong>Rounds 28-30</strong>&nbsp;Dc in each st around.<br><strong>Round&nbsp;31</strong>&nbsp;(2dc, dc2tog) 4 times. [12 sts]<br><strong>Rounds&nbsp;32-33</strong>&nbsp;Dc in each st around.<br><strong>Round&nbsp;34</strong>&nbsp;(1dc, dc2tog) 4 times. [8 sts]<br><strong>Round&nbsp;35</strong>&nbsp;Dc in each st around.<br><strong>Round&nbsp;36</strong>&nbsp;(Dc2tog) 4 times. [4 sts]<br><strong>Fasten off,</strong>&nbsp;leaving a long tail.<br>Use the tail to close the final round, then stitch it to the body so it curves around to the front. You can use the image as a guide.<br>Using Black Coffee and Yarn B, sew the mouth, nose and fangs to the Head.<br><br><strong>Tongue</strong><br>Using&nbsp;<strong>Rust</strong>, ch6<br><strong>Row 1</strong>&nbsp;Ss in second ch from hook, ss in next ch, ch3, ss in second ch from hook and next ch, ss in each remaining ch of foundation ch-6. [7 ss]<br><strong>Fasten off</strong>&nbsp;leaving a long tail.<br>Sew the Tongue to the mouth.<br>Using the makeup blush, adding colours for the cheeks.<br><br><strong>Crown</strong><br>Using&nbsp;<strong>Saffron</strong>, ch25 and ss to first ch to form a loop.<br><strong>Round</strong>&nbsp;<strong>1&nbsp;</strong>Ch1, dc in each ch around, ss to beg dc. [25 sts]<br><strong>Round</strong>&nbsp;<strong>2&nbsp;</strong>Ch3 (count as tr), (1tr, ch3, 2tr) in same st as beg ch-3, *skip 4 sts, (2tr, ch3, 2tr) in next st) 4 times, skip 4 sts, ss to top of beg ch-3.<br><strong>Fasten off,</strong>&nbsp;leaving a long tail for sewing.<br>Sew the small beads to the Crown then sew the Crown on the Head over Rounds 1-6.</p>
