In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

You will need:

  • Gazzal Baby Cotton yarn (60% cotton, 40% acrylic, 50 g/165 m)
  • 2.0 mm crochet hook
  • 4 mm black beads for eyes
  • Brown embroidery floss
  • Sewing needle and scissors
  • Fiberfill

Height: 7 cm (2.7”)

Abbreviations:
R – row
ch – chain
st – stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in one stitch)
dec – decrease (2 sc together)
[…] – number of stitches you should have at the end of the row
(…) – repeat whatever is between the brackets the given number of times

Legs and body (one piece)

Legs (make 2)
R 1: 4 sc in magic ring [4]
R 2: (inc) repeat 4 times [8]
R 3: 8 sc
Fasten off.
Crochet the second leg, do not fasten off.

Body
R 4: 1 ch from the second leg, 8 sc on the first leg, 1 sc in 1 ch, 8 sc on the second leg [18]
R 5: 1 sc, inc, 6 sc, inc, 1 sc, inc, 6 sc, inc [22]
R 6: 6 sc, inc, 10 sc, inc, 4 sc [24]
R 7-9: 24 sc (3 rows)
R 10: (2 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [18]
R 11: 18 sc
R 12: (1 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [12]
R 13: 12 sc
R 14: (dec) repeat 6 times [6]
Stuff with fiberfill.
Fasten off.

Arms (make 2)
R 1: 5 sc in magic ring [5]
R 2-8: 5 sc (7 rows)
Fold the top opening flat and 2 sc through both sides.
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Head
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
R 3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
R 4: (2 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
R 5-9: 24 sc (5 rows)
R 10: (2 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [18]
R 11: (1 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [12]
R 12: (dec) repeat 6 times [6]
Stuff with fiberfill.
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Ears (make 2)
Make 10 ch.
Make an oval, starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
R 1: from the 2nd ch from hook: 2 sc, hdc, 4 dc, inc, inc in last st, turn: inc, 4 dc, hdc, 2 sc.
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew details together.
Sew on two black beads for eyes between R 5 and R 6.

Embroider nose with brown floss.
Tint cheeks using dry pastel crayon.
