Plush Monkey Crochet Pattern

YOU WILL NEED:
- Plush Chunky Yarn (I used James C. Brett Flutterby Chunky) in light brown and dark brown or two colours of your choice.
- A 5mm hook
- Needle
- Scissors
- Stuffing
- Plastic eyes (suitable for toys)
ABBREVIATIONS:
- sc – single crochet
- inc – increase
- dec – decrease
- st. – stitch
- BLO – back loops only
- FLO – front loops only
- Ch. – chain
- dc – double crochet
LEGS (MAKE 2)
Light brown colour yarn.
- ch.2 and 6sc in first ch.
- inc in each st. (12)
- ‘3sc then inc’ x3 (15)
- ‘4sc then inc’ x3 (18)
- ‘2sc then inc’ x6 (24)
- sc in each st, (24)
- ‘2sc then dec’ x6 (18)
- ‘4sc then dec’ x3 (15)
Switch to dark brown coloured yarn and stuff throughout.
9-10. sc in each st. (15)
11. ‘3sc then dec’ x3 (12)
12-20. sc in each st. (12)
Fold over and sc through both sides (6) fasten off and leave tail for sewing.
ARMS (MAKE 2)
Light Brown coloured yarn

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing. Stuff lightly.
EYES (MAKE 2)
Using Light Brown Yarn

Finish off. Plastic eyes will go through the centre.
EARS (MAKE 2)
Using Light Brown Yarn
1. ch.2 and 6sc in first ch.

Finish off.
Using Dark Brown Yarn
1. ch.2 and 6sc in first ch.
2. inc in each st. (12)

Now crocheting Brown section to the light brown.

TAIL
Using Dark Brown Yarn
- ch.2 and 6sc in first ch.
2-20. sc in each st. (6)
Lightly stuff throughout, fasten off and leave tail for sewing.
HOW TO ASSEMBLY
Sew the eye patches to the head between rows 7 and 12 leaving two stitches between them. Sew the muzzle at the bottom of the eye patches so they all connect, the bottom of the muzzle should sew to row 20. Sew the arms between rows 23 and 24 on either side of the body. Sew the legs between rows 33 and 34 on either side of the body. Sew the ears either side of the head between rows 6 and 10. Sew the tail on the back of the body between rows 32 and 33.
