Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

Knitting terms

ch: chain (v.p)
mr = Magic ring (KA)
sc: single crochet (sbn)
inc = increase (pr)
dec = decrease (ub)

R : Row
Rnd : round

ch: chain
mr = Magic ring
sc: single crochet
inc = increase (2 sc in the next stitch)
dec = decrease (single crochet 2 stitches together)
BLO: Back loop only
FLO: Front loop only
( )* 6 = repeat whatever is between the brackets the number of times stated

Materials and tools for knitting elk:

Yarn for knitting two colors: beige and dark brown. I knitted from the remnants of yarn, so, unfortunately, I can’t say which yarn I used, because labels are long lost. But I think this is not so scary. You can choose any yarn you like. The main thing is that it be the same thickness.

Crochet hook suitable for the size of the selected yarn. I crocheted No. 1.25.

Filler for soft toys.

Two black beads for the eyes.

Quite a bit of white Iris yarn to shape the moose’s eye.

Thin wire for the frame.

4 buttons for attaching paws.

Thread, needle for sewing.

Scissors.

Head

We knit the elk’s head with beige yarn.

1 row: 6 sc we close into the sliding into magic ring

2 row: 6 increments (we knit 2 single crochet in each loop of the previous row) (12).

3 row: (1 sc, 1 inc) – repeat 6 times, i.e. to the end of the row (18).

4th row: (2 sc, 1 inc) – repeat 6 times (24).

5 row: (3 sc, 1 inc) – 6 times (30).

6 row: (4 sc, 1 inc) – 6 times (36).

7-9 rows: 42 sc (we knit 1 crochet in each loop of the previous row).

10 row: (4 sc, 1 dec) – 6 times (30).

11, 12 rows: 30 sc.

13 row: (3 sc, 1 dec) – 6 times (24).

14, 15 rows: 24 sc.

16 row: (2 sc, 1 dec) – 6 times (18).

We stuff the face of an elk.

17 row: 3 sc, 2 increase, 1 sc, 2 increase, 10 sc (22).

18 row: 3 sc, 4 increase, 1 sc, 4 increase, 10 sc (30).

19, 20 rows: 30 sc.

21 row: (3 sc, 1 dec) – 6 times (24).

22 row: 24 sc.

23 row: (2 sc, 1 dec) – 6 times (18).

We stuff our head.

24 row: (1 sc, 1 dec) – 6 times (12).

25 row: 6 dec.

If the hole after knitting 6 dec is residually large, then you can knit a few more dec until the hole is completely closed or tighten it with a needle with a large eye.

Horns (2 parts).

Horns are the hardest part of crocheting moose. Therefore, the description of this section will be a lot of photos. If you deal with knitting horns, everything else will seem very simple to you.

Knit with brown yarn.

1 row: 6 sc we close in a sliding ring.

2,3,4 rows: 6 sc.

5 row: (1 sc, 1 inc) – 3 times (9).

6 row: until the 6th row we knitted in a circle. In this row we will make 1 ch., Expand the knitting and we will knit in the opposite direction. Knit 4 increase. We do not knit 5 loops of the previous row, again we unfold the knitting and proceed to knitting the 7th row.

Christmas moose Stepan crochet. Description of knitting and step by step photos.

7 row: we knit 8 sc over incmi of the previous row. Next 4 ch. and using the connecting column we connect the opposite side. There are 12 loops in a row: 8 sc, knitted over incmi and 4 ch.

The photo below shows the stage when we typed a chain of 4 air loops:

Next, using the connecting column, we join the opposite side:

Christmas moose Stepan crochet. Description of knitting and step by step photos.

We continue knitting in a circle, until we touch the resulting hole. Hereafter, we will connect the appendix. In the meantime, we continue to knit the base of the moose horn.

8.9 rows: 12 sc.

10 row: 4 ch., Skip 8 loops and knit a connecting column. It turned out two circles: one of 12 loops (8 loops that we missed and 4 loops of the chain), the second of 8 loops (4 loops of the row and 4 loops of the chain). First, we knit in a circle of a small circle: 8 sc.

Christmas moose Stepan crochet. Description of knitting and step by step photos.

At this stage, we knit the third process of the elk horn. Work on the base will continue later.

Next row: again 8 sc in a circle.

Next row: 4 decreases. Tighten the hole, cut the thread.

Christmas moose Stepan crochet. Description of knitting and step by step photos.

We fix the thread over the first hole, which we formed when knitting the 6th and 7th rows. In a circle we got 14 loops. We knit: 1 dec, 5 sc, 1 dec, 5 sc. In a row, it turned out 12 sc.

Next 2 rows: 12 sc.

Next row: (2 sc, 1 dec) – repeat 3 times (9).

The last row we knit decreases until the hole is completely closed.

Thus, we tied small horns (processes). Now we fix the thread and continue to knit the horn. We knit 2 rows of 12 sc.

Christmas moose Stepan crochet. Description of knitting and step by step photos.

We stuff horns.

Next row: (2 sc, 1 dec) – repeat 3 times (9).

We knit 3 rows of 1 sc in each loop of the previous row. In a row of 9 loops. We complete the knitting of the part with a connecting column.

Similarly, we knit a second horn for our moose.

Neck.

We knit beige yarn.

We collect a chain of 14 air loops. We close the chain into a ring and knit in a circle.

1,2,3 rows – 14 sc.

4 row: (6 sc, 1 inc) – 2 times (16).

5 row: 16 sc.

6 row: (7 sc, 1 inc) – 2 times (18).

7,8,9 rows: 18 sc.

Ears (2 parts).

1 row: 6 sc close into into magic ring

2 row: (1 sc, 1 inc) – 3 times (9).

3.4 rows: 9 sc.

5 row: (1 sc, 1 dec) – 3 times (6).

We finish knitting with a connecting column. We knit the second ear for the moose in the same way.

Christmas moose Stepan crochet. Description of knitting and step by step photos.

Torso

1 row: 6 sc in into magic ring

2 row: inc in each loop of the previous row (12).

3 row: (1 sc, 1 inc) – 6 times (18).

4 row: (2 sc, 1 inc) – 6 times (24).

5 row: (3 sc, 1 inc) – 6 times (30).

6 row: (4 sc, 1 inc) – 6 times (36).

7-16 rows: 36 sc.

17 row: (4 sc, 1 dec) – 6 times (30).

18 row: (3 sc, 1 dec) – 6 times (24).

19 row: (2 sc, 1 dec) – 6 times (18).

20 row: (1 sc, 1 dec) – 6 times (12).

21 row: 6 dec (6).

Without cutting the working thread, we proceed to knitting the tail.

22-25 rows: 6 sc.

26 row: decrease until the hole is completely closed.

Eyes (2 parts).

Knit with white yarn.

1 row: 6 sc in into magic ring

Legs (4 parts).

We start knitting with brown yarn:

1 row: 6 sc in into magic ring

2 row: inc in each loop of the previous row (12).

3 row: (1 sc, 1 inc) – 6 times (18).

4 row: we knit 18 sc (18) for the back wall of the loop.

5 row: we knit 1 sc in each loop of the previous row (18).

6 row: (4 sc, 1 dec) – 3 times (15).

7.8 rows: 15 sc.

9 row: (3 sc, 1 dec) – 3 times (12).

10 row: (1 dec, 4 sc) – 2 times (10).

11 row: beige yarn: 10 sc.

12 row: brown yarn 10 sc.

Next, alternate the colors of yarn each row.

13-22 rows: 10 sc.

We place the wire frame inside the foot, we stuff it and proceed to knitting the last row.

23 row: 6 dec (6).

Now you can start collecting toys. First, make out the muzzle and sew the horns. Next, we sew the moose head to the neck, and the neck to the body. We fix the legs with buttons. Pre-fix the legs with pins, finding the position in which the elk will confidently stand on its striped legs.
