Assembling a knitted toy
1) Stuff the head and neck. Sew to the top front of the body. Sew spots around the eyes to the head along the edge. Fill the beak and sew it between the spots.

Helpful Hint: Sew on the patches, wings and feathers with small straight stitches between the V-stitches of the last CRs for a neat seam.

2) Fold each leg of the feather in half and use tails to sew the edges together. Thread the tail from each feather tip into a tapestry needle and thread through the 6 remaining stitches, insert the end of each feather stem into the feather tip and pull tight towards the hole. Sew a couple of stitches through the leg to secure. Close the last loop. Sew three feather tips at the base and sew them to the center of the head.
3) Sew the wings on both sides of the body with the pointed part back.
4) Sew the legs to the base of the body with the toes forward.

5) Pin the front tail feather to each part of the tail and sew the edges in place, sewing through the feather and both layers of the tail, and sew each suitable back tail feather to the back without sewing through both layers. Sew together the tops of the tail feathers. Sew the base of the tail to the back of the body. Sew through both layers of the tail and into the body from the base to KP 10 until it is securely fastened.

Product assembly

On the edge, sew the spots around the eyes to the face. Sew up the open side of the top of the beak. Bend and sew between the eyes at the level of the 2nd row of the head. Lightly stuff the bottom of the beak and, keeping the base round, sew under the top of the beak. Sew the beak pieces together. Sew the edges of both rows of feathers on the head together, and then sew them to the head in such a way that the smallest feathers are in front.

Please note that the tail feathers have a natural curve, for best effect position them so that the curves are directed in different directions.

Place the tail feathers in such a way that the fourth row is on the bottom and the third on top, the second row on top of the previous ones. Sew the edges of all three rows together. Sew them under the bottom edge of the back.

The first row of feathers is now the topmost. Sew the edges of the back to the back of the parrot. Sew the folded top edges of the wings to the sides, right under the frills at the neck. Sew the tips of the wings in place to the body of the parrot. Sew the teeth on the neck to the body. Fill the main part of the leg and sew the edges of the fingers together in pairs. Sew the legs in place under the parrot with the claws forward.

Paws
Sew the legs to the paws. Please note that the thumbs (2 rows of PSN) are on the inside. Sew the legs to the body. Place them slightly forward so Terrence sits with his paws forward or in the center so he can stand. You may need some wire for this (this option will not work for you if you plan to use Terrence as a child’s toy).

Wings
Sew the wings to the body under the white rim around the neck. I made only a few stitches parallel to the rim so Terrence could flap his wings happily.

Ponytail
Sew the tail to the back of the Terrence, 1 row below the line made from the loops behind the back wall.

Beak
Sew the beak to the head between the eyes.
On top of the beak, embroider two small dashes as nostrils.

2. Attach your eyes. Safety eyes with plugs are preferable to buttons as they are more secure.
3. Fill tightly with holofiber.
4. Pull the hole, give a smooth curved shape. Sew the edges together.
5. For the beak, cut out a small triangle of felt and glue it to the face with hot glue.
6. Apply some pink paint, depicting the cheeks.
