Amigurumi Pudgie Budgie Crochet Pattern
Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.
Supplies:
4mm crochet hook, 4/Medium weight yarn in white, pink, red, and purple. 8mm safety eyes, tapestry needle, scissors, and stuffing.
Additional Information:
Difficulty: Easy
We start by making the head, which leads into the body. They are one piece. We then make the facial features, then the wings, feet and tail. You can also make this budgie in the traditional white head, blue body, orange cheeks, and yellow beak colors.
Body:
In White
Round 1: 6 Sc in Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc* all around (18)
Round 4: *Inc, Sc 2* all around (24)
Round 5-7: *Sc* all around (24)
Round 8: Sc in the next 12 st. Sc in the next st and add a different colored st marker to the Sc just made. This marks where to place the eye. Sc in the next 2 st. Sc in the next st and add a different colored st marker to the Sc just made. Sc in the last 8 st (24)
Round 8 eye markers will look like this
Round 9: *Inc, Sc* all around (36)
Round 10-11: *Sc* all around (36)
Round 12: *Dec, Sc 4* all around (30)
Round 13: *Dec, Sc 3* all around (24)
Round 14: *Dec, Sc 2* all around (18)
Switch to Light Pink. Stuff here. Add safety eyes here.
Round 15: *Inc, Sc 2* all around (24)
Round 16: *Inc, Sc 3* all around (30)
Round 17: *Inc, Sc 4* all around (36)
Round 18-21: *Sc* all around (36)
Round 22: *Inc, Sc 5* all around (42)
Round 23-24: *Sc* all around (42)
Round 25: *Dec, Sc 5* all around (36)
Round 26: *Dec, Sc 4* all around (30)
Round 27: *Dec, Sc 3* all around (24)
Stuff here
Round 28: *Dec, Sc 2* all around (18)
Round 29: *Dec, Sc* all around (12)
Round 30: *Dec* all around (6)
Finish off. Add any additional stuffing and sew closed.
Head Feathers:
In Pink
Round 1: 6 Sc in Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Sc* all around (6)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc* all around (9)
Round 4: *Sc* all around (9)
Round 5: *Inc, Sc 2* all around (12)
Round 6: *Sc* all around (12)
Finish off and sew in half pin to the body as shown.
Sew on all pieces now.
Beak:
In Purple
Row 1: Ch 3. Dc in the 2nd ch from the hook. Trc in the next ch.
Finish off and pin on as shown.
Cheeks: (Make 2)
In Red
Row 1: 6 Sc in Magic Ring (6)
Finish off and pin on as shown.
Wings: (Make 2)
In White
Round 1: 6 Sc in Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc* all around (18)
Round 4: *Inc, Sc 2* all around (24)
Now fold the piece in half. Make sure the stitches line up, and single crochet them together. Finish off.
Feet: (Make 2)
In Pink
Round 1: 6 Sc in Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: SlSt in the next 2 st, *SlSt in next st, Dc 2 times in same st, SlSt in same st* 3 times, SlSt in last st.
Finish off and pin on as shown. Sew on.
Tail:
In Pink
Round 1: 6 Sc in Magic Ring (6)
Round 2: *Sc* all around (6)
Round 3: *Inc, Sc* all around (9)
Round 4-7: *Sc* all around (9)
Round 8: *Inc, Sc 2* all around (12)
Round 9-10: *Sc* all around (12)
Finish off and pin on as shown.
