Amigurumi Otter Crochet Pattern
Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.
Abbreviations
Rnd : round
MR : magic ring
ch : chain
slst : slip stich
sc : single crochet
inc : increase
dec : decrease
hdc : half double
( )* : repeat till the end of round
[ ] : total number of stiches in the round
Materials
• Cotton ricorumi : brown (057), beige, (051), grey (058), pink (065)
• Crochet hook : 3mm
• 6mm safety eyes. You may need to use smaller/larger eyes, depending on hook/yarn size.
• Yarn needle
• Black embroidery thread
• Fiblerfill for stuffing
• Scissors
Size with the materials above will be about 9cm
Head & Body
Stuff as you go along your work.
Start in brown (color A).
Rnd 1: MR, 6 sc [6]
Rnd 2: (inc)* [12]
Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc) * [18]
Rnd 4: (2 sc, inc) * [24]
Rnd 5: (3 sc, inc)* [30]
Rnd 6: (4 sc, inc)* [36]
Rnd 7-9: 36 sc [36]

Continue in beige (color B).
Rnd 11-14: 42 sc [42]
Insert the security eyes between Rnd 10 and 11.
Rnd 15: (5 sc, dec)* [36]

Rnd 32: through back loops only (5 sc, dec)* [36]
Finish to stuff.

Fasten off and close. Embroider the eyelashes, whiskers and muzzle with black embroidery thread and cheeks with pink one.
Muzzle
In beige.
Rnd 1: MR, 6 sc [6]
Rnd 2: (inc) *[12]
Rnd 3: 12 sc [12]
Insert the security muzzle (or embroider it) and sew it to the head between the eyes.
Ears (x2)
In brown.
Rnd 1: MR, 8 sc [8]
Rnd 2: 8 sc [8]
Sew the ears on the head.
Arms (x2)
In brown.
Rnd 1: MR, 4 sc [4]
Rnd 2: (1 sc , inç )* [6]
Rnd 3-7: 6 sc [6]
Sew the arms to the body.
Feet (x2)
In brown.
Rnd 1: MR, 4 sc [4]
Rnd 2: (inc)* [8]
Rnd 3: 8 sc [8]
Flatten the opening of the feet and sc in next 4 stitches through both layers to close the opening.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Glue / sew the feet to the body.
Tail
Stuff as you go along your work.
In brown.
Rnd 1: MR, 4 sc [41
Rnd 2: (1 sc, inc)* [6]
Rnd 3-5: 6 sc [6]
Rnd 6: (2 sc, inc)* [8]
Rnd 7-11: 8 sc [8].
Rnd 12: (3 sc, inc)* [10]
Rnd 13-16: 10 sc [10]
Flatten the opening of the tail and sc in next 5 stitches through both layers to close the opening. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Sew the tail behind and to the side of the body.
Fish
In grey.
Rnd 1: MR, 5 sc [5]
Rnd 2: 2 sc, inc, 2 sc [6]
Rnd 3: (inc, 2 sc)* [8]
Rnd 4-5: 8 sc [8]
Rnd 6: (dec, 2 sc)* [6]
Rnd 7: Flatten and close by crocheting both sides together with 2 sc [2]
Rnd 8: ch 1, turn, (hdc, 2 sc) in the first stitch, (2sc, hdc) in next stitch.
