Amigurumi Chick Crochet Pattern

Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

You will need:

  • Alize Cotton Gold or Alize Softy yarn: yellow for body
  • Alize Softy yarn: orange and red
  • 1.75 mm crochet hook and 2.0 mm for bow
  • 9 mm safety eyes
  • Black yarn or floss for embroidering eyebrows and lashes
  • Sewing needle, scissors
  • Sewing pins
  • Fiberfill

Abbreviations:
R – row
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
sl st – slip stitch
inc – increase (2 sc in one stitch)
dec – decrease (2 sc together)
[…] – number of stitches you should have at the end of the row
(…) – repeat whatever is between the brackets the given number of times

Head and body
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
R 3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
R 4: (2 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
R 5: (3 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
R 6: (4 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [36]
R 7: (5 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [42]
R 8: (6 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [48]
R 9: (7 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [54]
R 10: 54 sc
R 11: (8 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [60]
R 12-13: 60 sc (2 rows)

Insert safety eyes between R 16 and R 17 at the distance of 12 sc from each other.

Wings (make 2)

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Feet (make 2)

R 1: from the 2nd ch from hook: 4 sl st, (5 ch, from the 2nd ch from hook: 4 sl st on the chain), (5 ch, from the 2nd ch from hook: 4 sl st on the chain), 3 sl st

Hair

Make hair on R 2 and R 3. Start from R 3.

Bow

With 2.0 mm crochet hook and YarnArt Jeans yarn.
Make 4 ch.
In the 4th ch (main ch) from hook: 3 dc, 3 ch, 1 sl st in the main ch.
Make 3 ch in the main ch, 3 dc, 3 ch, 1 sl st in the main ch.
Leave a long tail.

Wrap the middle of the bow multiple times with yarn.

Embroider beak (view video at 09:59).
Embroider eyelashes and brows (view video at 18:10).
